Audi is now using Soliant Fluorex® paint film on the roofing strips of select models of the Audi A8. The roofing strips are being color-matched to paint using body-colored plastic and the Fluorex paint film. “Using Fluorex paint film enables us to provide the full color palette to Audi,” said Volker Heinel, head of marketing for Kunststoff-Technik Scherer & Trier, an international automotive supplier based in Michelau, Germany. “Among others, we are using this technology to produce complicated extruded profiles with a body-color finish in a cost-effective way.”
